SITE ASSESS 2.1.2

SITE ASSESS is a mobile application (app) tailored for educational agencies, providing a comprehensive platform to evaluate safety, security, accessibility, and emergency preparedness of school facilities. Users can select between K-12 schools or higher education institutions for assessments. The app then guides users through optimized sections for the chosen setting, creating personalized to-do lists for immediate and long-term facility enhancements.

Developed by the REMS Technical Assistance (TA) Center, under the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Supportive Schools, SITE ASSESS offers several essential features:

• Allows image storage within the app
• Offers vital threat and hazard information for emergency planning
• Enables customization of assessment questions to meet local requirements
• Facilitates data export to Word or Excel formats for reporting and analysis
• Provides insights into site assessment principles like CPTED and universal design
• Aids institutions in complying with safety regulations such as the Jeanne Clery Act
• Supports all phases of emergency management activities

Data privacy is ensured as the app stores information solely on the user's device, with no data shared with the REMS TA Center or the Department of Education unless during initial registration. While the app offers optional features that may transmit data, users retain responsibility for safeguarding their information.
